Age Well Association in collaboration with Max Super Specialty Hospital organised its annual felicitation ceremony on September 5 at the hospital auditorium, celebrating longevity, commitment and the spirit of togetherness among senior citizens. More than 100 life members attended the event despite incessant rains and waterlogging across Delhi-NCR. Members who had attained 75 years and above, 80 years and above, along with couples completing 50 years of married life, were honoured for their remarkable milestones. Each recipient was presented a traditional Patka and a gift. Dr. Parinita Kaur, Senior Consultant, Internal Medicine, Max Hospital, spoke about seasonal infections, including H1N1 influenza and viral fevers and highlighted the importance of vaccination, hygiene and timely medical consultation to the members of Agewell. Dr. Neeraj Godara, Senior Orthopaedic Consultant, discussed osteoporosis, joint problems, age-related complications and fall prevention.
I.M. Khanna, President, Age Well Association, congratulated the senior achievers and emphasised that respecting and honouring seniors is a responsibility. He outlined the Association’s welfare initiatives, including free health camps, wellness sessions, educational support for underprivileged children, bereavement assistance and social gatherings.
